I am an English Literature BA and Creative Writing MA graduate from the University of Birmingham. I am currently studying for a PhD in Creative writing researching the representation of disability in contemporary fairy tale retellings, funded Midlands4Cities.
My debut poetry pamphlet, Light Perception, was published by Wild Pressed Books in November 2019. My first poetry collection, I Left the Room Burning, was published in February 2021. My poetry pamphlet,The Earth is a Bookcase, was published by Black Pear Press in June 2021. My debut chapbook of creative non-fiction, Catching Sight, was published in November 2021 by Blanket Sea Press. And in February 2022, Black Pear Press published my pamphlet, I Chase Lightning.
I have quite happily picked up a range of jobs that require me to write, whether that be travel articles, student blogs, or website content. I have had my poetry (and the odd short story) published in Foxglove Journal, Nine Muses Poetry, Dear Reader Poetry, BellaOnline Literary Review, Eunoia, Pulp Poets Press, Peculiars Press, Picaroon Press, and Bonnie’s Crew. I write graded readers for children learning English as a foreign language for Westchester Publishing Services and have ghost written children’s fiction for a range of ages.
When not reading, writing, or listening to an audiobook at double speed, I can most likely be found with her dog (Neville, pictured above), snacking, drinking tea, and/or planning a trip to somewhere or other.
