Wolf Siren wins the UKLA Book Award!!!

So, both Wolf Siren and I have been having the most bonkers couple of weeks!

On Friday I was in Glasgow for the United Kingdom Literacy Association (UKLA) Book Awards because Wolf Siren was shortlisted in the 11-14+ category. And then only went and WON it!!!
 
This award is judged by teachers. They spend an enormous amount of time reading over 500 nominated books in order to decide on a longlist, then a shortlist. I honestly have no idea how they manage it, how they find the time, but I am so very grateful that they do.
 
It was so lovely to meet so many of the teacher judges, some of whom I’d met on school visits, and it is such an honour to hear their stories of how Wolf Siren has been received by their students.  
 
I spent the entire evening smiling, and trying not to drop the glass trophy I was given (which I am also pleased to say I managed to transport home in one piece!).​
